General Description of Na Remover (SATA-PF-380)
Although Na can inhibit grain growth and also it is a good modifier, it will adversely affect casting and processing properties for some alloys. The high Na content will increase the viscosity, especially for small-sized ingots with poor fluidity, resulting in rough surface and severe wrinkles. Moreover, the higher the mass% of Na, the higher the cracking tendency during casting. Therefore, Na amount must be strictly controlled during smelting.
