Secondry Aluminium Alloy

Aluminum—a 100 percent recyclable and sustainable metal. This recycling process propels business activity rapidly.

Secondary production is the process of recycling aluminum scrap into aluminum that can be used again—an environmentally sound process that is 92 % more energy efficient than primary production. it also reduces landfill waste and greenhouse gas emissions. Aluminum cans return from the recycling bin to the store over and over again in a true closed loop.

Raw materials for secondary aluminum production are scrap, chips, and dross. The scrap is cleaned and melted down in gas- or oil-fired reverberatory or hearth furnaces. The primary impurity, magnesium, comes from being alloyed with aluminum in the scrap metal, while the other impurities, Li, Ca, and Na, are not present at levels as high as primary aluminum. Before being cast into ingots, the metal undergoes a series of treatments to remove these impurities to acceptable levels. As a supporting product supplier for aluminum production in secondary smelting operations. Sata's products focus on providing manufacturers with solutions designed to meet growing market demands. We have the capability to supply critical support products needed for secondary smelter applications.

Solid fluxes play an important role in the covering, drossing, and refining, demagging of aluminum and its alloys. Magnesium may be removed by chlorine or an aluminum-fluoride-containing flux. Fluxes based on a KCl-NaCl mixture may be used to cover and protect the metal from oxidation. Other cover fluxes are based on MgCl2 - KCl, which forms a low melting eutectic at 424°C. Drossing fluxes have a great advantage to reduce the rich metallic content of drosses that may contain up to 60–80% free metal. To recover aluminum from drosses, a more reactive flux containing cryolite or some other fluoride may be used. Cleaning fluxes facilitate keeping furnace or crucible walls above and below the melt line free of build-up. Sata® flux is all fused flux with granulated & spherical form take advantages of dust free. no HCL emission, and easy handling .competitive price to supply and customization.
